1. Global Achievement in Geothermal Energy Research (2023)

The Geology Department Team at Helwan University’s Faculty of Science secured 4th place worldwide in the prestigious Laurie Dake Challenge at the 84th EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition (Vienna, Austria, June 2023).

• Project Focus:
  Innovative exploration and investment plan for geothermal energy extraction in Vienna, Austria.

The department won 1st place in the Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) for North Africa, advancing to the continental finals in South Africa.
